Journal

Notes from the practice, shortly.

Dr. Reichert is writing a short series on the things that come up most often in the room. The first pieces will be here soon.

Nothing is published yet, so rather than fill this page with filler, here is what is actually coming.

What is being written

  • What the aftermath of a controlling relationship looks like eighteen months later, when everyone else has moved on
  • Why competence is the last thing to go, and why that makes burnout so hard to catch in the people most at risk of it
  • What acclimatizing to your own life actually takes, and why the summit metaphor gets it backwards
  • Anger as a signal rather than a defect, particularly for men who were raised with one permissible emotion
  • Grief with no funeral attached to it

These are written between sessions, so they arrive when they arrive. If you want to read something specific, say so on a call. It moves up the list.

Begin

A first conversation costs nothing.

Fifteen minutes on the phone. No paperwork, no obligation. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll say so and point you toward someone who is.
